Tim developed the business plan for Teledesic from 1997-99 and then worked on the Iridium bankruptcy from 2002-07. He was an expert witness for DISH Network in the DBSD bankruptcy in 2009 and has since worked on numerous other cases involving satellite and spectrum assets. TMF Associates has consulted on development of satellite networks for some of the largest companies in Silicon Valley and advised on the rescue of OneWeb from 2020-22. TMF Associates has also acted as an adviser and bidding consultant in FCC spectrum auctions, advised regulators on satellite spectrum allocation and valued spectrum assets for investors. Tim is available for consultations with investors through most major expert network platforms.

Since 2006, TMF Associates has published the only dedicated subscription research service on mobile and broadband satellite services, covering LEO constellations, inflight connectivity, Direct-to-Device, consumer broadband and spectrum valuation. Subscribers to the service include many leading satellite and terrestrial operators, service providers and equipment manufacturers, together with a number of financial investors in the sector. We have particular insight into the development of the Starlink broadband and D2D constellations and have published detailed revenue forecasts for Starlink and the wider satellite broadband market since 2022.
